Ben's big Bass

Bret took the boys fishing the other day, at a big pond on the other side of Harlan. They were mostly catching blue gill. But Ben felt a big fish on his line, pulled back his pole and set the hook, and up comes this big large mouth bass flipping and flopping in the air and then falls back into the water. With the skill of a seasoned veteran he reeled the fish in, with his brothers cheering him the whole time. Sam was especially impressed by what his big brother had done.

We didn't put him in my fry pan, we let him go in our pond, and now he is a happy little fish swimming in a new home, where he will hopefully help make lots more baby bass.
