Ben goes to scout camp.

What a man!!!! So THIS is what goes on at scout camp.

Well last week was really interesting. It was only Bret, myself, Keaton and Sam. Both Amber and Ben were gone. Ben went to scout camp at Camp Cedars, near Freemont, NE. Amber went to an EFY down in Missouri. I'll save that for another blog.

Our scout leader Rod came and picked Ben up Monday around 11. He had a couple other boys with him as well. I wasn't to worried about him since this was his second time going, and Bret would be going as well, but not until Wednesday, then he was going to bring the boys home. So after Bret left, I was left with just Keaton and Sam.  Boy was THAT weird.

Other than it being very hot and sticky, and getting eaten alive by mosquitoes and chiggers, He said he had a good time.  He passed off a lot of merrit badges and bonded with the other boys.

They even had to study a bit!  We were all very happy to see him and his Dad pull into the driveway Friday evening.  Bret did not have a good time.  I have a feeling he's going to try to avoid going in the future.  I have to remind him that he has 3 boys who he wants to be Eagle Scouts, and they are going to need him to help.  That will require him going to scout camp!  Maybe they should pick a different camp to go to.  I don't know. 

Keaton and Sam were sooooo happy to have their big brother home again!  They played and played all night with each other!  It's so nice to see them get along so well and want to be with each other.
