Ben's Texas trip

For the last couple of years, Amber has been the one to go on the hunting trips with Bret. It was Ben's turn this year. I was nervous for him, just because he hadn't really been hunting before and hadn't shot anything before. Wasn't sure how his aim was. He was very excited though and wanted to shoot something big!

We start off with the kissing pig photo, with Bret and Kevin showing off their ugly beasts that the mighty hunters shot.

Lovely.

Then we have the real mighty hunter with his Ram that he shot at 65 yards off the side of a cliff. I don't know the details of the story unfortunately, but Ben drilled him, and to me that's all that matters. I do know that I got a call that night from Ben. He said "Hi Mom! Guess what? I shot a Ram!" I was so relieved and excited for him. Ben is a competitive person, and to see Amber get all these deer and things, was making him a little upset. So he got his first big game animal, in Texas, with his Dad, his Grandpa, and his Uncle. I'm sure it will be a day he won't soon forget.

We then have Bret and his mighty bunny! Nothing like a little trick photography to make things interesting. But he looks very excited don't you think?



I love this picture! Ben looks so happy and proud and So does Bret. His son had come of age, and is now a man. Oh yeah, Kevin and John look good too :)


And I apologise to anyone who might find this offensive. Nothing like a good crotch shot. But this poor Ram had a terrible infection in his scrotum, which made it look HUGE! Poor thing, and good thing Ben put him out of his misery. Nice shot Ben. Nice tongue too.

Love this so much, it was worth putting in twice. :)
